If something brought you to this page — a conversation, a song, a quiet feeling you can't quite explain — that wasn't an accident. God has a way of drawing people before they even know what they're being drawn to.

"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them." (John 6:44)

If you've never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, but something in you is ready — you don't need a church building, a pastor, or the perfect words. You just need an honest heart.

Salvation isn't a formula. It's a conversation. Here's an example of what that might sound like — but say it in your own words, the way you'd talk to someone who loves you. Because He does.

Prayer

"Jesus, I know I've lived life on my own terms and fallen short. I believe you died for me and rose from the dead. I'm done trying to do this alone. I'm turning my life over to you — not just today, but from here forward. You are my Lord and Savior. Come into my life and make me new. Amen."

If you just prayed that and meant it — welcome to the family. Now keep reading. What just happened is worth understanding.

What Just Happened

You didn't just check a box. You entered a relationship.

When you said yes to Jesus, you acknowledged that you've fallen short of who God created you to be — and that you can't fix that on your own. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

But God didn't leave you there. The penalty for sin is real — but so is His love. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

You believed that Jesus, the Son of God, died in your place and rose from the dead to prove it. "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

And you chose to turn your life over to Him — not just for one moment, but as a direction. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

That's the Gospel. Simple, but it changes everything.

This isn't a program. It isn't a list of rules. It's a Person — and He's been waiting for this moment longer than you know. "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Welcome to the Family

If you made this decision today, I'd love to hear about it. Send me your first name and the country you're writing from — I pray for every person who reaches out by name. You're not a number here. You never were.
