Peter is one of the most well-known disciples of Jesus. He was bold, loyal, passionate, and sometimes very impulsive.

Peter once told Jesus with full confidence, "Even if everyone else falls away, I never will."

Just hours later, Peter denied even knowing Jesus. Three times.

The last time he did it, the rooster crowed. Peter realized exactly what he had done, and Scripture says he went outside and wept.

If the story ended there, Peter would be remembered as the disciple who failed. But the story did not end there.

After the resurrection, Jesus met the disciples by the Sea of Galilee. Peter had gone back to fishing, the life he had before.

Jesus cooked breakfast for them on the shore. Then He asked Peter three simple questions: "Do you love me?"

Three denials. Three restorations.

Then Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."

Peter's failure did not cancel his calling. The man who once denied Jesus became the one who stood boldly at Pentecost and preached to thousands.

The worst moment does not have authority to write the final chapter of a life. Jesus does.

Restoration has always been one of His specialties.
